Press Credentials

Complimentary Press credentials are issued to qualified journalists (reporters, editors, freelance writers and news photographers, producers, etc.) working for media outlets with editorial focus relevant to the travel industry.

During the Port of Go! – members of the working press will have exclusive access to daily press conferences, networking events, and an impressive exhibit hall featuring vendors showcasing all relevant travel industry goods, products, and services. Members of the press are also invited to attend the Port of Go! – Industry Reception.

Please review the criteria below to determine if you qualify for press credentials:

social media share comments

Freelancers/Still Photographers: Freelance writers and photographers must submit a letter or email from the news organization they are representing describing what they have been hired to cover. Emails must come from the editor’s corporate email account. Generic email addresses (i.e. Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail etc.) will not be accepted.

Bloggers: Press registration for bloggers and other online media outlets will be considered on a case-by-case basis by Othal Partners, LLC. Bloggers seeking press credentials must demonstrate a history of editorial coverage for the travel industry and blog posts containing the author’s byline. This industry-related blog must adhere to a standard of professional responsibility regulating institutional journalism, such as editing, fact-checking and disclosure of conflicts of interest. Corporate blogs will not be considered. Permissions will be granted entirely at Othal Partners, LLC discretion.

Production Companies: Production companies must pre-register under Othal Partners, LLC policy on taping during the Port of Go! and may not register on site at the show. For more information regarding Production Company requirements and registration form, please click here to download the Request to Tape Form.

In-house Publication Employees: In-house newsletter writers, book authors, book editors and publishers do not qualify as working press.

Publishers: Publishers must register as non-editorial paid press. However, publishers who also act in an editorial capacity for their publication may be awarded press credentials by demonstrating a regular history of bylined articles written for the publication, if no other editorial staff from the publication is attending. Publishers will be granted credentials at Othal Partners, LLC discretion.

Public Relations Activities Prohibited

It is the policy of Othal Partners, LLC to require all persons requesting complimentary press credentials to disclose, in advance, whether they will be conducting any activities or business other than reporting while at the event.

This includes but is not limited to:

– Requesting/receiving any form of compensation in exchange for the promotion of products, goods or services at the Event

– Discussing opportunities for exhibitors to advertise in the representing publication

– Setting up appointments between exhibitors and publication representatives for further on-site or off-site business dealings

Engaging in any sales, marketing or public relations capacity at the show is prohibited. These activities may include but are not limited to, marketing and sales of satellite tours for or by on-air talent, producers and/or production staff, and marketing and sales of ad space for any publication of any kind by reporters, editors and/or photographers. It is an inherent conflict of interest for a journalist to perform public relations work, paid or unpaid while participating in any Port of Go! or Othal Partners event(s).
